(From Ferry Funeral Home)Linda Gayle Coonrod, 78, Nevada, MO passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Barone Alzheimer’s Care Center in Nevada. Linda was born May 14, 1943 to Elvis and Evelyn Nadine (Jackson) Haines. She married Bob Coonrod on October 14, 1986 in Miami, OK and he survives of the home.
Linda grew up in the Walker, MO area and graduated from Walker High School. Following high school, Linda began a lifelong career in banking. She worked at the bank in Walker, and later for Thornton Bank in Nevada, and at Bank of America where she retired after 47 years in the banking business. Linda also worked at the gates at the Nevada Speedway for 30 plus years where she enjoyed greeting the public.
Linda was a member of the First Baptist Church in Nevada. She volunteered for the CCPA in Nevada, was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, and enjoyed participating in the Women’s Bowling League for many years.
Linda is survived by her son, Troy Munsterman (Janet), Nevada, and their children, Brandon Munsterman, Kansas City, MO, and Brook Munsterman, Nevada; a step-son, Jeff Coonrod (Lori), Nevada, and their children, Dylan Coonrod, Joplin, Marli Walker (Ben), Nevada, and Lani Coonrod, Nevada.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 22, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Nevada with Dr. Kevin Daugherty officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
Memorials are suggested in her memory to the First Baptist Church c/o Ferry Funeral Home.
