(From Fohn Funeral Home)Jeffrey Scott Beattie, 57, of Cassville, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family Sunday, Nov. 14, 2021.
He was born Jan. 17, 1964, in Cassville, the son of John and Helen (Oxendine) Beattie. On Dec. 10, 1982, he was united in marriage to Brenda Henderson, who survives.
Additional survivors include: one son, Justin Beattie and his wife Neely of Webb City; one daughter, Jerin VanSickle and her husband Jordan of Fort Scott, Kan.; two sisters, Janice Paul and her husband Charles of Cassville, and Jackie Hendrix and her husband Wayne of Cassville; three grandsons, Jackson, Jessup and Johnathan.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Johnny Beattie.
Jeff grew up and received his education in Cassville graduating from Cassville High School in 1982. After graduation he worked for the city of Cassville for several years. He then started Barry County Plumbing alongside Wayne Hendrix and later owned and operated Beattie Construction. He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Cassville, where he faithfully served playing the drums with the praise and worship team.
Services were held Thursday, Nov. 18, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Johnie Hendrix conducted the services.
