Carla Drew

Mrs. Carla Jean Drew, 72, of Hiwasse, Arkansas, departed this life on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Circle of Life Hospice Home in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Carla entered this life on February 5, 1949, in Jane, Missouri, born to the union of the late Orval and Blanch (Akehurst) Lewis. She was raised in Jane and attended White Rock and Pineville Schools. 

She married Leonard Robertson on February 11, 1972 and together they had three children, Elizabeth, Clayton and Doyle. She retired from Bemco in Centerton, Arkansas, where she was employed for several years. She enjoyed sewing, caring for her animals and spending time with her family.






 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Leonard Robertson on January 26, 1995; her daughter, Elizabeth Merriman; a sister, Anna McCool; five brothers, John, Carl, Lonnie, Ray and Ted Lewis; and a daughter in-law, Darla Robertson.

Carla is survived by her husband, Bob Drew of the home; two sons, Clayton Robertson of Anderson and Doyle Robertson and wife, Jennifer, of Hiwasse; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Drake of Twin Falls, Idaho and Irene Codington and husband, Bill, of Ft. Sumner, New Mexico; a brother, Frankie Lewis and wife, DeeDee, of Pineville; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Graveside services are 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2021 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hiwasse with Chaplain Ken Nutt officiating. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are James Lewis, Justin Malonson, Jason Malonson, Charles Baker, Yancey McCool and Curtis Lewis. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
