(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)On November 24, 2021, Farnces Naomi Hartje, 88, went home to be with her Lord and Savior. Frances Hartje (Triplett) was born on January 4, 1933, in Racine, MO to the late James “Sam” Triplett and Ola M. Tyree.
On May 8, 1948, Frances married the love of her life, the late Robert Wayne Hartje Sr., They celebrated nearly 58 years together before his passing in 2006.
As a young lady Frances accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She felt a call on her life and in the late 70s started her ministry. She became the pastor of the People's Home Mission on 9th St. in Joplin and remained the pastor up until her passing. Many hearts and lives were changed from Frances’s ministry over the years.
A prayer warrior, passionate for souls, and a lover of Christ Jesus, Frances was not only an inspiration to all who knew her, she was a great care giver, outstanding cook, “don’t stir her noodles!” quilter, and a friend to all.
Frances is survived by her children, James O.(Maria) Hartje of Joplin, Gail (Emul) DeGonia of Joplin, Joyce (Rick) Knisley of Joplin, and Bill Yust of Joplin; grandchildren, Jimmy (Stacy) Hartje, Justin (Jodi) Hartje, Bryan (Adrian) Lowe, Stephanie (Donnie) Henderson, Jeremy (Sarah) Knisley, and Helen (Gabe) Garcia; sisters, Dixie Jay of Racine, Virginia Hand of Overland Park KS, Sharon Campbell of Olathe, KS, and Patsy Greenstreet of Springfield as well aas many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
Along with her beloved husband and parents, Frances is preceded in death by her son, Robert Wayne Hartje Jr.; grandson Jason Dale Lowe; brothers Jim and George Triplett; sisters Helen Martin and Ruth Daniels.
