Marcella Treece

Marcella Arlene Treece, age 82, of Rolla, Missouri, formerly of Neosho, passed away at 9:40 p.m. on Monday, November 22, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was born September 24, 1939, in Neosho, to the late Homer and Pauline (Barrett) Smith. Marcella lived most of her life in the Neosho area and graduated from Midway High School in 1957. 

On January 23, 1961, she married Troy Treece in Miami, Oklahoma. Marcella worked as a Service Manager and Buyer for La-Z-Boy for almost 30 years. 








Marcella moved to Rolla in 2005 to be near family, spent some time in Texas, and then returned to Rolla, where she was currently residing. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and Soroptimist International. Marcella loved putting together puzzles, sudoku, playing with her grandchildren and sports of all kinds especially St. Louis Cardinals baseball.

Survivors include her husband, Troy; daughter Gina McWilliams and her husband, Todd, of St. Petersburg, Florida; three grandchildren, Nicole Jones of Rolla, Lauren (Travis) Thacher of Boonville, Missouri, and Seth McWilliams of Rolla; four great-grandchildren, Zyair McWilliams, Aunesti Jones, Bailey and Presley Thacher, and one due in December, Oakleigh Thacher; one sister, Anna (Fred Caviness) Carter of Joplin, Missouri and 3 sister in-laws, Mary (Joe) Collingsworth, Vivian (Robert) Sharer both of Maysville, OK, and Lillian Treece of Lockhart, TX.

Her sister, June Linton, preceded her in death.

Under the direction of the Clark Funeral Home in Neosho, Missouri, a graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at the Newtonia IOOF Cemetery in Newtonia, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m. in the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Neosho prior to the graveside service. Memorial donations in memory of Marcella may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66, Neosho, MO 64850.
