(From Parker Mortuary)Randall “Randy” Eugene Doke, age 64, Seneca, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at his home with family at his side.
Randy was born July 15, 1957 in Webb City, Missouri, and grew up in Joplin where he graduated from Memorial High School.
While attending Franklin Tech during high school he was honored with the Four State Wood Working Excellence Award, which is given to the top woodworker in the four states. He was very proud of this accomplishment. He worked for several years with Duriks Cabinets, and then worked for Able Wood Products in Seneca.
He loved spending time going to garage sales and flea markets, and even had a booth in the Lost Creek Flea Market in Seneca. He also enjoyed driving his classic cars and running with friends.
Randy was preceded in death by his father, Richard Eugene Doke; aunts and uncles, Jimmie Doke, Lloyd Doke, Lorene Hood, Fern Edwards, Norma Ball, Gene Gourley, and Carl Gourley.
Survivors include his mother, Earlene Gourley Doke of Joplin; brother, Gary Doke and wife Pam of Joplin; niece, Stacey Hensley of Carl Junction; nephew, Darren Doke of Galena, Kansas; uncle, Dean Gourley; aunts, Leeanne Doke and Edna Doke; cousins, Sherwood Doke, Marvin Doke, Neal Ball, Rita Breen, Les Ball, Janice Ball, Debbie Brown, and Paul Gourley; other extended family, and a host of friends.
The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the Doctors and staff of Integrity Hospice for their help and care of Randall over the last few months.
Memorial service will be Monday, November 22, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. in Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary Chapel with Neal Ball officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
Committal of his ashes will be Tuesday, at 10:00 a.m. in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family request that no flowers be sent at this time.
