Lyla Page

Lyla Jean Page, age 70, Joplin, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021 at her home surrounded by family.

Lyla was born November 7, 1951 in Neosho, Missouri, daughter of the late David “Dave” Hammer and Lora “Jackie” Powers Hammer. She grew up in Neosho, where she attended Neosho Schools. She drove a truck with her husband for years with Swift Transportation, and most recently was in real estate with Keller-Williams Reality.









Lyla enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed trout fishing at Roaring River and Bennett Springs where she was exceptional at Fly Fishing. She loved the St. Louis Cardinals, working on her cross-stitching, and listening to Elvis. She was very strong in her Catholic Faith and was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Joplin.

Survivors include her husband, Carrol Page, whom she married June 21, 1999; her daughters, Mendi Cooper (Shawn) of Anderson, Missouri, Tracy Freeman, and Lorie Goins (Niki) all of Webb City; son, Jeremy Page (Amy) of Kansas City, Missouri; seven grandchildren; sisters, Glenda Smith (Chet), and Sherry Browning (Denny) all of Neosho; her special niece and caregiver, Kristy Cote (Chris) of Neosho; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members; and her special companion, Sienna.

A Rosary will be recited on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the Rosary.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary with burial of her ashes scheduled at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery, Neosho, Missouri.
