Ronnie Franklin Sundy, age 71, Sarcoxie, MO passed away at 5:15am Tuesday, November 23, 2021 in the Freeman West COVID-ICU.He was born on May 21, 1950 in Carthage, MO to Frank and Ada Belle (Burkey) (Sundy) Nance.
Ron was employed by Ryder Transportation Systems for 25 years before retiring in 1997. He enjoyed anything outdoors, especially catching fish and lying about how big they were. He was an avid collector of all things, and loved music. He was a firm believer in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
In addition to his mother Ada, Joplin; he is survived by children Holly (Travis) Willhite, Lamar; Paul (Crystal) Sundy, Nixa; brothers Gary (Cindy), Duquesne; Bill, Joplin; and grandchildren Ryen, Trace, and Ty Willhite; Presley and Kinley Sundy; and a host of many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also survived by his four-legged kids who he cared for very much.
He was preceded in death by his father Frank; step-father Calvin Nance; and brother Rick Sundy.
Also surviving are Nancy Williams and her children Tom, Cindy, Kevin, Tim, and Johnna.
The family will receive friends during a memorial service held at Faith Baptist Church, 2424 E. 20th St, Joplin, MO on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 2 pm followed by his final resting place at Garber Family Cemetery.
