(From Daniel Funeral Home)Charles "Charlie" Lynn Williams, age 71, of Webb City, Missouri passed away November 20, 2021, at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Charlie was born September 18, 1950 in Elaine, Arkansas to Burl Williams and Ethyl Doris (Brown) Williams. On April 28, 1978, Charlie married Maymie Arlena Hollingsworth in Miami, Oklahoma.
Charlie retired from Midway Lumber in Joplin, Missouri after 26 years. He served in the United States Navy from 1969 - 1972, and then served in the Navy Reserves for 10 years after that. Charlie was an avid Lamar Tigers, K.C. Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Survivors include his wife, Maymie, one daughter; Casey (Kody) Kirschner of Neosho, Missouri, three sons; Norman (Lisa) Wheelen of Oronogo, Missouri, Marty Wheelen of Joplin, Missouri and Greg (Debbie) Wheelen of Republic, Missouri. Six grandchildren; Kenzee Kirschner of Neosho, Missouri, Courtney Munch of Webb City, Missouri, Seth Wheelen of Webb City, Missouri, Carlie Wheelen of Columbus, Kansas, Montana Wittenmyer of Galena, Kansas and Jake Wheelen of Galena, Kansas, Four great-grandchildren; Addy Wheelen of Webb City, Missouri, Lily Wheelen of Webb City, Missouri, Haley Longan of Pittsburg, Kansas and Nolan Munch of Webb City, and two great-great grandchildren; Brenlee Longan and Sawyer Munch.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson, Chase Kirschner and his brother, Mike Williams.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 1, 2021. at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow after at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lamar, MO.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Harmony Heights Christian Church in Joplin, Missouri.
