Richard Alfred Hughey of Baxter Springs, KS passed from this life Sunday, November 21, 2021. He was 35.

Richard was born May 1, 1986 in Claremore, OK to Richard Chissoe and Rachel Ann Hughey. He had lived in the Ottawa County, OK and Cherokee County, KS area all his life. He worked for Tyson Foods in Noel, MO.

Richard was preceded in death by his mother Rachel Ann Hughey.









Survivors include his wife Michelle Hughey of the home, his father Richard Chissoe of Albuquerque, NM, 3 step daughters, Lilly Waterman of Baxter Spring, KS, Violet Cox of Baxter Springs, KS and Daisy Gray of Baxter Springs, KS, his aunt who raised him Deena Rae Hughey of Miami, OK, 1 brother, Raymond Sharp of Miami, OK, 3 sisters Crystal Hughey of Vinita, OK, Christina Sharp of Miami, OK and Rachel Ann Sharp of Miami, OK.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Quapaw Tribal Building, SE of Quapaw, OK. Rev. Steven Daugherty will officiate and Jeremy Olsen will conduct Native American Rites. Interment will be in Peoria Cemetery, Peoria, OK. He will lie in state at the Quapaw Tribal Building. Services have been placed in care of Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
