Jane Kay (McLeod) Dermott, 83, went to be with the Lord on November 6, 2021 surrounded by her family.
Jane was born on January 3, 1938 to Harve Tucker McLeod and Reba Bell (Schneider) McLeod in Iantha, Missouri. She married Charles E. Dermott on March 14, 1959. She was a homemaker and lifelong resident of Barton County.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 62 years Charles, a daughter; Karen Evans and husband David of Joplin, two sons; Jeffrey Dermott and wife Delores of Carthage, Missouri and Joel Dermott and wife Kimberly of Liberal, Missouri. In addition to her husband and children, the joy of her life were her seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren who knew her as Grammie, a brother-in-law; Jon Dermott of Joplin, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters; Helen Jean Workman and Donnie Bartlett.
She will be forever remembered as a woman of unwavering faith and devotion to the Lord and her family. Honoring her wishes, she will be interred at the Iantha Cemetery following a private family graveside service.
