(From Parker Mortuary)June Taliaferro Hosp, age 89, Joplin, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Freeman West.
June was born January 23, 1932, in Grove, Oklahoma, daughter of the late Craig Taliaferro and Alpha (Thomlinson) Taliaferro. They moved to Joplin where she attended Joplin Schools, graduating from Joplin High School.
She was a stay at home mom who loved taking care of her husband, Harold Hosp, and her children. She especially enjoyed dancing, whether it was a country line dance, or a Waltz, she would spend many hours enjoying the company of her friends at the Senior Center dancing.
In addition to her parents and husband Harold, June was preceded in death by a brother, Dan Taliaferro.
Survivors include her children, Steven Hosp of Joplin, and Sharon Tindell and husband Jim of Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren, Amanda Hosp of Carthage, Missouri, Joseph Sexton of Omaha, and Sarah Lara of Joplin; great-grandchildren, Hayli Sexton and Lelund Sexton both of Omaha; brother, John Taliaferro and wife Barbara of Kansas City, Missouri and their daughter, Stephanie Greenwood.
