Taylor McGlothlin

(From Buchanan Funeral Home)

Taylor Braydon McGlothlin, 18, of Monett, MO, left this world all too soon on Tuesday evening, November 2, 2021, following an auto accident.

Taylor was born on June 18, 2003 in Monett, son of Alyssa Evans and Jarrid McGlothlin. Taylor attended Monett Schools and completed his high school education in 2020. He was planning on studying at OTC in Springfield.

Taylor was too smart for his own good with a witty humor to match. He was a caring, loving and empathetic soul that would move mountains for his family, loved ones and friends.

He was born to be the best big brother and protector and protective of those he loved. Taylor would bend over backwards to help others in need. Taylor’s sister and brothers are comforted knowing he is still watching over and protecting them all. His daughter was the light of his life and his infectious smile lives on in her. Taylor and his generous smile will be dearly missed by all. Taylor had a wonderful spirit about him. He could always make you laugh and smile and had the ability to make people feel better. His sense of humor was legendary.

Those left to cherish his memory are the pride and joy of his life, his daughter, Elayna Ophelia Rose Evans; his mother, Alyssa Evans and Korry Melby, of Monett; his sister, Cadence McGlothlin; his brothers, Evan Patterson and Jackson Patterson, all of Monett; his uncles, Ryan Evans and Lance Evans; his maternal grandparents, Kerry and Donna Evans; his paternal grandfather, Bob McGlothlin. Taylor will be lovingly be remembered by a host of extended family and countless friends.

Taylor was preceded in death by his father, Jarrid McGlothlin; and his paternal grandmother, Barbara McGlothlin.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Buchanan Funeral Home with Reverend Clif Crockett officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 p.m. In memory of Taylor, memorial contributions have been suggested to Alyssa Evans for the care of Taylor’s daughter, Elayna. These can be left in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
