Ruby Lea Starchman, age 86, Carl Junction, passed away at 11:34 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016 at her home after an illness.
Ruby was born November 4, 1929 in the Belle Center Community, West of Joplin, to the late Luther Ballew and Nellie Williams Ballew and had lived in the area most of her life.
She worked as a seamstress for the former Miller Manufacturing Company for many years.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Starchman; a daughter, Molly Etherton and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include two children, Anna Felkel, Carl Junction, David Starchman, Joplin; four grandchildren, Matt Felkel, Tara Felkel, Joe Felkel, Bobby Etherton; and three great grandchildren, Aaron Felkel, Craig Etherton and Tyler Lichlyter.
Ruby has been taken for cremation.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
