Barbara Ann Anderson, 74, Carthage, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin. Barbara Ann Marcus was born June 16, 1942 in Kansas City, MO; a daughter of the late Archie Marcus and Mary Brown Marcus. She married Robert L. Anderson on April 3, 1959 in Carthage; he preceded her in death on July 26, 2010. Barbara worked as a machine operator for Juvenile Shoes, Carthage for 13 years. She was a member of the Faith Life Worship Center, Carthage.
Survivors include two daughters; Brenda Lee (Jim) Kralicek, Fairmont, OK and Debra Kay (Jerry) Gourley, Carthage; one son, Robert L. (Kathy) Anderson, Jr., Jasper, MO; one brother, Thomas Marcus, Ottawa, KS; seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren; her companion, Bob Hensley, Carthage.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 4:00 PM, Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Faith Life Worship Center, Carthage. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM, Saturday. Rev. Jerry Davis will officiate. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Carthage. Memorial gifts are suggested to the Faith Life Worship Center in care of Knell Mortuary.
