Janice E. Cole, 77, Fairland, OK, passed into eternal rest at 5:42 pm, February, 9, 2017 at Integris Grove General Hospital after an illness.
Janice Edna Ellis was born July 6, 1939 in Stillwell, OK the daughter of Blair and Mahala Mae (Hignite) Ellis. She worked for Safeway over 30 years. Several of those years she worked as a store manager. Janice was also an RN and had worked for Willow Crest in Miami and Freeman Hospital in Joplin. Janice retired in 2008. She was a member of the Sycamore Chapel United Methodist Church in Wyandotte.
Janice E. Ellis married Jimmie A. Cole March 26, 1956 in Miami, OK and he preceded her in death January 28, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents Blair and Mahala Mae Ellis; one son Jimmie Cole; two brothers, Jessie Ellis and James Blair Jr; and one sister, Judy Carr Hamilton.
Survivors include one son, Scott Cole, Pensacola, FL; two daughters; Cheryl Gwartney, Wyandotte, OK and Cindy Cruzan, Pensacola, FL; one sister, Sue Allen, DeSota, KS; 8 Grandchildren; 8 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 PM, Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 13, 2017 at the Sycamore Chapel United Methodist Church, Wyandotte, OK with Pastor John Bates officiating. Burial will be in the Quaker Valley Cemetery in Riverton, KS. with Chad Cole, Brad Cole, Tony Cole, Dustin Gwartney, Sean Gwartney and Devan Kramer serving as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Sycamore Chapel Food Pantry, o/c Campbell Funeral Home, PO Box 380, Seneca, MO 64865.
