Peggy Joan Cox, age 77, formerly of Joplin, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at her home in Branson after a sudden illness.
Peggy was born August 16, 1939 in Covington, Kentucky, daughter of the late Lon Cook and Bertha Halcomb Cook. She was a homemaker, and member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Gary Cox; sons, Kenny Cox and wife Cathy of Joplin, Tim Cox and wife Autumn of Miamisburg, Ohio; grandchildren, Abigail Cox, Devin Cox, Allison Cox, Charissa Cox, Audrey Cox, Analise Cox, Amalea Cox; great-grandchildren, Caden and Landon; her brother, Lonnie Cook and wife Carolyn of Raleigh, North Carolina.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with her sons officiating. Interment will follow in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Thursday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
