Peggy Sue Greninger, age 80, Joplin, passed away at 11:13 a.m. Friday, February 17, 2017 at Mercy Hospital.
Peggy was born July 21, 1936 in Joplin to the late Ivan Hosp, Sr. and Goldie Stiles Hosp and had lived in Joplin all of her life.
A homemaker, she lived for her family. Peggy enjoyed cooking and making anyone feel welcome in her home. She was a former member of Empire Baptist Church and the Baxter Springs Saddle Club. Peggy will be missed by all that knew her.
Peggy married Richard Ray Greninger on February 18, 1955 in Carthage. He preceded her in death on July 2, 2003.
She was also preceded in death by siblings, Kenneth Hosp, Sr., Ivan Hosp, Jr., Barbara Jean Hosp and Joann Trigg.
Survivors include her children, Susan Gibson and husband, Jim, Joplin, Linda Reavis and husband, Tony, Joplin, Lori Wren and husband, Donny, Baxter Springs, Teresa Burks and husband, Randy, Baxter Springs, Richard 'Rick' Greninger and wife, Joedy, Joplin; a sister, Betty Fraley, Springfield; sister and best friend, Judy McGinnis, Seneca; eleven grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren.
Services are planned for Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Donny Wren will officiate. Interment will follow in Hornet Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard 'R.J.' Greninger, Irvin Myers, Jay Doubledee, Levi Bachman, Robert Day, James Edwards, Adam Hall and Jordan Andrews. The family will receive friends Monday from 7-8:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the Danny Fleming Fund, in care of Baxter State Bank, Baxter Springs, Kansas.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
