Dixie Lee Rose of Neosho passed away on February 07, 2017 at the Medicalodge in Neosho at the age of 89 after declining health.
She was born May 26, 1927 in Neosho, MO, an only child of Harve and Nelle (Sharp) Parks. Dixie attended the Christopher School, Hazel Green School, Stella High School, graduating from Neosho High School and Joplin Business College. She moved with her family to Oakland, California in 1944. Dixie met her future husband Frank Joseph Rose while both were employed at the Sunshine Biscuit Company. She worked and later retired for the Perkin-Elmer Corporation as an Executive Secretary in Oakland, California. Frank and Dixie were married on November 08, 1947, enjoyed 51 years together until Frank’s death in 1999. She is survived by three cousins.
A Graveside service and burial will be held Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 10:30 am in the Hazel Green Cemetery, Boulder City, MO. with Denny Kruse officiating.
Services are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, MO.
