Lois Etter

Lois V. Etter, 78, passed away February 6, 2017 at her home in Carthage. Lois was born June 18, 1938 in Independence, Missouri to Art Aber and Almeda “Bullard” Aber. She resided in Jasper for a number of years, then moved to Carthage in 2009. Lois was a cook at Judy’s Restaurant in Jasper for over 20 years and a member of the New Covenant Church in Carthage.

Lois was united in marriage to Gene Etter April 18, 1974 in Miami, Oklahoma; he survives.

Lois is survived by two sons: Michael Larimore of Carthage and Jerry Lee Larimore, Jr. of Springfield, Missouri. She is also survived by one brother, Wayne Stephenson and wife Shirley of Springfield, Tennessee and two sisters: Donna Rotramel and husband Deryle and Dollie Smith and husband Ralph, all of Liberal, Missouri. Also surviving is one step-brother Dennis Turner, along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, one son Myrl Larimore, one daughter Vicki Larimore, and one brother Leroy Stephenson.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, three miles East of Jasper, Missouri.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.
