Edward "Ed" Wallace Wilbur, 82 years, of Webb City, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017, at his residence in Webb City, Missouri.
Ed was born on November 25, 1934 at Mount Holly, New Jersey to the late Joseph Edward and Ella Mae (Nixon) Wilbur. He married Eleanor Jane Painter on June 24, 1960 in Riverside, New Jersey. They had lived 44 years in Goodman, Missouri before moving to Webb City, Missouri. Ed was a hard working man on his farm. He enjoyed gardening, reading, Nascar and especially talking politics.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and a sister.
Ed is survived by his wife of 56 years, Eleanor Jane Wilbur of the home; three daughters, Gloria Cossentine and husband, Jay of Alabama, Dawn Smith and husband, Troy of Kansas, Janet Dodson and husband, Greg of Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; four great grandsons; along with a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss Ed.
Graveside funeral services for Ed Wilbur will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at the Howard Cemetery in Goodman, Missouri. John McPhail will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 in the Goodman Chapel of the Ozark funeral homes. The family will receive friends at this time.
