Wayne Edward Kreissler was born on May 17, 1951, to Edward and Emma Kreissler in Butler, Missouri. He passed away at 1:01 am on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at the age of 65 surrounded by his family.
Wayne lived his life with many titles. First and foremost, he was a servant of God, confirmed and attending Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lockwood, Missouri. He was a loving and dedicated brother to his six siblings and loved family gatherings. He was a farmer in the Golden City/Lockwood area for 44 years, dedicated to raising cattle, alfalfa, and other crops. He was a loving husband, married to Dixie Sullivan on July 30, 1972, and enjoying their years together square dancing, traveling with family, and visiting with friends. He was a father, leading his children Leslie, Reuben, and Seth by his words and actions. He was Soda Pop, showing great enthusiasm for his six grandchildren. He was a friend, willing to give his time and attention to anyone in need.
Wayne is survived by his wife Dixie; his children Leslie (Ryan) Brunner, Reuben (Rayna) Kreissler, and Seth Kreissler; his mother Emma Cassity; his siblings Wanda Jones, Paula Kreissler (Terri Galloway), Toni Kreissler, Tim (Lorraine) Kreissler, Jonathan Kreissler, and Jackie (Chuck) Carrier; grandchildren Jayden, Mahaila, Sonya, and Luke Brunner and Roman and Raquel Kreissler; and many nieces and nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his father Edward Kreissler and brother-in-law Allen Jones. Many relatives and friends will fondly remember this caring man.
