Pam Rickey

Pamela Arlene Shockley Rickey, age 40, Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Pam was born March 24, 1980 in Wichita, Kansas, and moved to the Joplin area as a child. She graduated from Joplin High School in 1997. 

She worked as a home health care worker for years. At the age of 30, she was diagnosed with a genetic disorder which caused her to become deaf. She was a devoted volunteer with the Tulsa Speech and Hearing Association. 








Until the time of her death, she was an assistant teacher at Happy Hands Education Center. She devoted herself to helping others with disabilities. She was a friendly face to all she helped over the years and was appreciated by many. She also loved being a volunteer at the Coffee Café at her church, Solace Church, in Tulsa. She will be greatly missed by many family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Steve D. Shockley.

Survivors include her mother, Debbie Becker of Carthage; sisters, Michele Rickman and husband Levi of Joplin, and Crystal L. Shockley of Monett, Missouri; a brother, Steve D. Shockley, Jr. and wife Wendy of Carthage; nieces and nephews, Breonna Shockley, Lynn Stovall, Daelon Shockley, Brooklynn Withrow, Chase Shockley, Liliana Lasker, Julie Lasker, London Rickman, and Zadynn Stovall; fur babies, Toby, Jovi, Luna, Cosmo and Nova.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Solace Church, 7314 W. 41st, Tulsa, OK 74105.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
