Ruth Yeakey

Ruth A. Yeakey, 93, Seneca, MO passed into eternal rest January 14, 2021 at her daughters’ home in rural Seneca after a long illness.

Ruth Aileen Golden was born November 8, 1927 in Seneca, MO the daughter of Raymond and Lora (Adams) Golden. 

Ruth was a lifelong area resident. She and her husband owned and operated the Seneca Locker Plant. She enjoyed the outdoors, loved her cows, quilting and farming. Ruth was a faithful member of the Swars Prairie Church of Christ.








Ruth Aileen Golden married W. Scott Yeakey September 7, 1947 in Seneca, MO and he preceded her in death September 7, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Lora Golden; siblings, Charles Golden, Pauline Brownen, Juanita Cox, Barbara Fisher, Lavonne Johnson, Ray Golden, Roy Golden and Eddie Golden; son-in-law Jim Long and daughter-in-law Maureen Yeakey.

Survivors include her children Scotty Ray Yeakey, Seneca; Janine Wolfinbarger and husband Gary, Neosho, Marilyn Long, Seneca and Billy Dean Yeakey and wife Lisa, FT. Worth, Tx. Grandchildren: Scott Yeakey and Ellie, Lisa Graham and Brandon, Robert Wolfinbarger, Jennifer Cummings and Cheyenne, Michael Yeakey and Shellie, Kristi Swint and Stuart, Jim Long and Sherry, Jeff Long and Monica, Amanda Ashmead and Andrew; one sister Loretta Turley and John, Seneca; 21 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, January 15, 2021 at the Swars Prairie Church Of Christ, south of Seneca with Gayle West officiating.
