(From Ozark Funeral Home)Mr. David Shane Blevins, 49, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Thursday evening, January 7, 2021, while at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri, after a recent battle with cancer.
Shane entered this life on January 25, 1971, in Stella, Missouri, born to the union of the late Lonnie and Mona (Boyd) Blevins.
He was raised in Anderson and was a lifelong area resident. Shane has worked the last twenty-five years at the Jane Hatchery, a division of Simmons Foods. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, helping those in need and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brother in-laws, Buck Lawson and Jeff Lasiter.
Shane is survived by his eight siblings, Ramona Lawson of Goodman, Deborah Spears of Anderson, Augusta Loving and husband, Rick, of Anderson, Lonnie Blevins and wife, Melissa, of Anderson, Patrica Blevins of Neosho, Dale Blevins of Rocky Comfort, Brenda Lasiter of Goodman and L.D. Blevins and wife, Murf, of Anderson; his best friend, David Welch of Stella; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Tracy Cemetery with Pastor Jamey Cope officiating. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Michael Lasiter, Jessie Blevins, Justin Blevins, Levi Spears, Chad Loving, Tristan Blevins, Seth Blevins, Robert Lawson, Lonnie Blevins and Dylan Blevins. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes.
