(From Clark Funeral Home)Brenda Marie Karlinski, beloved mother of Tiffany, Brittany and Anthony, entered into rest on November 1, 2021, at the age of 58.
Brenda was born April 1, 1963, in Des Moines, Iowa, one of two daughters to Clarence and Judy (Moffett) Mumme. She moved to the Carthage area in 2004 from Rainier, Oregon and to Joplin in 2020, and was a homemaker.
Brenda was a survivor of cancer and numerous other illnesses for over twenty years and lost two homes due to a fire. She was the epitome of what it meant the defy the odds and persevere. Despite all the hardships she endured, she always met others with a smile.
She enjoyed gardening, boating, traveling, interior decorating, painting, spending time at the beach and spending holidays with her family. She was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Carthage.
Brenda is survived by three children, Tiffany (Eric) Weber and their daughter, Lillian of Joplin, Brittany (Mike Weldon) Karlinski of San Francisco, California and Anthony Karlinski and son, Wilder of Neosho and one sister, Dena Akins of Kansas City, Kansas.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A rosary service and visitation will be held at 9 am Friday, November 5, 2021 and Funeral Mass will follow at 10 am at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Carthage, Father Paco will officiate. Interment will follow in the Forest Park Cemetery, Joplin. Contributions in memory of Brenda may be made to the family to assist with expenses.
