(From Parker Mortuary)Billy Raymond Kiser, age 80 of Joplin, Missouri, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, October 30, 2021 after a short illness.
Billy was born October 5, 1941 in Joplin, Missouri to the late William and Thelma (McCorkle) Kiser. Billy was a lifelong area resident, graduating from Carl Junction High School in 1959.
Billy worked for many years as a welder, retiring from the Iron Workers Local 10 after twenty plus years and was also a truck driver. He loved to work on cars, make knives out of deer horns that he often gave away, dancing, traveling, and enjoying life. He was always willing to help people and had a huge heart. Family was everything to Billy and he cherished the time spent and memories created with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Billy was united in marriage to Jan (Finney) Kiser on December 31, 2009 in Joplin, Missouri.
In addition to his parents Billy was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred “Sonny” Kiser, Albert Dean Kiser and a sister Alberta “Sis” Parmon.
Billy is lovingly survived by his wife, Jan; daughter, Kanda Cornell; two sons, Kenny Arnold and wife, Terri, Chris Arnold and wife, Rhonda; two step-daughters, Teresa Newton, Christina White and husband, Gaylen; grandchildren, Carson, Garrett, Kenny Ray, Chris, Corey, Jamie, Derrick, Sarah, Megan, Caylen, Payton; 20 great grandchildren; 11 great great-grandchildren as well as a host of extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Saturday, November 6, 2021 beginning at 10:00 AM until service time at Forest Park Baptist Church with memorial services beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. John Swadley officiating.
Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
