(From Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary)Calvin Glen Conrad, age 87, Fayetteville, Arkansas, formerly of Joplin, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.
Calvin was born June 5, 1934 in Anderson, Indiana, son of the late Harold D. Conrad and Vern (Stinson) Conrad. He grew up in Indiana, and graduated from Purdue University with an engineering degree. He worked as a manager for Midway in Joplin for many years.
In addition to his parents, Calvin was the last of 11 children born to Harold and Vern, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Lou (Kirkendall) Conrad who passed away on January 20, 2020, and a son, Phillip Conrad.
Survivors include his children, Calvin Curtis Conrad and wife Betty of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Kevin Conrad of Powell, Missouri, and Pam Dramis and husband John of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Casey Morris and husband Jeff, Callee Conrad and Felicity Conrad all of Farmington, Arkansas; great-grandchildren, Abby Morris and Caleb Morris.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Thornhill-Dillon Funeral Home with inurnment of his ashes at a later date in Baxter Springs Cemetery, Baxter Springs, Kansas next to his wife, Pam.
