Butch Dodd

(From Lawson's Funeral Home)

Guy Grant Butcher Dodd “Butch”, 43, of Locust Grove, Oklahoma left his earthly body Wednesday, November 10, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Butch was born May 3, 1978 to Earl Ted Dodd and Elizabeth “Libby” Mae Davis in Jay, Oklahoma.

Butch loved to be in the woods cutting down trees with his favorite chainsaws. He loved spending time with his grandboys. He was a mechanic at the Pryor Chevy Buick GMC dealership. He loved teaching others how to work on cars.

He attended Grove Public Schools until the fifth grade then transferred to Jay Public Schools from 6th to half of eighth grade. He then transferred to Joplin Schools to finish out the rest of the year. He stopped going after eighth grade to help take care of his father. He enjoyed going to dirt track races at the Salina Highbanks where he used to race as well. He drove a red #33 that he was so proud of. He was known by the name EL Butcho. He had a great sense of humor and if you knew him you’d always laugh. He loved the band Slayer and Cody Jinks. Slayers a good band! Butch loved to help people, and he even would have given the shirt off his back if somebody needed it.
