Dan Moffet

Daniel Robert Moffet, age 59, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away at 10:18 a.m. on November 13, 2021, at Freeman West in Joplin. He was born December 19, 1961, in Joplin, Missouri, the son of Robert and Pauline (Hatch) Moffet.

Dan lived and worked in the area his entire life. He graduated from East Newton High School in 1980, where he enjoyed football, music, and the FFA. 








Dan proudly obtained his goal of Eagle Scout at the age of 14. He loved biking, canoeing, and sports, both participating and watching. Dan worked as a safety specialist and coordinator for EFCO Manufacturing in Monett. Most important in Dan’s life was his lifelong commitment to serving his community and fellow man through his membership with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

On August 31, 1982, he married Brenda Jean Bowman, and she survived him. Together they were blessed with a son, Trenton Moffet of Bountiful, Utah; two daughters, Tambra (Gibril) Sesay and Tiffany Moffet, of Granby, Missouri; and six grandchildren. In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by his parents, siblings; Doug (Rennie) Moffet, Paula (Don) Strickland, all of Granby, Missouri, and Malinda (Dan) Crouch of Hallsville, Missouri.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, MO 23030 E. Highway 86, Granby, MO 64850. He will be laid to rest at the Kenney Memorial Cemetery at 10211 Lime Kiln Dr. in Neosho, immediately following services. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 17, at the Clark Funeral Home in Granby.
