(From Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home)John T. O’Hara, Jr., 64, of Parsons, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at his home.
John Thomas O’Hara, Jr. was born February 6, 1957, to John Thomas and Elizabeth Ellen (Schreuer) O’Hara in Chicago, Illinois. As a young boy, he moved with his family to Parsons, where he grew up. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and Parsons High School, where he graduated in 1975.
John worked at Ray Products for over 30 years. He then worked at Calibrated Business Forms in Columbus, Kansas, and then at Grandview Products for several years prior to his retirement.
A general tinkerer and jack of all trades, John enjoyed working on cars. He loved animals, especially dogs. He was also an avid Chiefs and Royals fan.
In June 1987, John and Diana Campmier were united in marriage. They later divorced.

One step-daughter – Melissa LaRue-Peters (Angie) of Wichita, Kansas
Five brothers – Danny O’Hara (Brenda) of Crestline, Kansas
Chris O’Hara of Lakewood, Colorado
Matt O’Hara (Julie) of St. Paul, Kansas
Pat O’Hara of Pittsburg, Kansas
Jimmy O’Hara of Joplin, Missouri
Four sisters – Beth Davis (Jerry) of Parsons, Kansas
Kathleen O’Hara of Olathe, Kansas
Marianne Jefferis (Darin) of Paola, Kansas
Ellen O’Hara of Parsons, Kansas
Following cremation, there will be a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Parsons with Fr. Curtis Robertson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m., until service time.
