Dianna Records

Mrs. Dianna Sue Records, 68, of Wyandotte, Oklahoma, departed this life on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri.

Dianna entered this life on March 20, 1953, in Miami, Oklahoma, daughter of the late Clarence “Bud” and Donna (Ferguson) Wheatley. 

She was raised in Afton, Oklahoma and was a 1971 graduate of Afton High School. She furthered her education by attending NEO in Miami, Oklahoma State University in Stillwater and Northeastern State in Tahlequah. 








Dianna taught school for nearly forty years. She taught in Vernon, Texas for a few years before beginning her twenty-six-year career with the Grove School District, retiring in 2007. She retired a second time in 2015, from the McDonald County School District. 

Following retirement she became the church secretary at Buffalo Creek Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member and served as the church pianist. Dianna dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren. We celebrate her life and look forward to that glad reunion day in Heaven.

On February 11, 1984, she was united in marriage to Charles William Records and together they shared thirty-one years before his passing on June 8, 2015.

Dianna is survived by her four children, David Records and wife, Angel, Matt Lane and wife, Mitzi, Lucas Lane and wife, Anna and Dusty Records and wife, Angela, all of Wyandotte; eleven grandchildren, Tia, Lacy, Daryan, Maggie, Addie, Ayla, Alexis, Cai, Hunter, Eli and Cadence; a sister, Linda Shouse and husband, Bill, of Wyandotte; a brother, Mike Wheatley and wife, Tracy, of Afton, Oklahoma; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Graveside funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Council House Cemetery near Wyandotte, Oklahoma with David Records, Matt Lane, Lucas Lane, Dusty Records, Scott Shouse and Jared Proctor serving as pallbearers. Celebration of Life Services will follow the graveside at 11:00 a.m. at Buffalo Creek Baptist Church near Tiff City, Missouri, with Bro. Justin Steadman officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5-7:00 at the church. Memorials are being directed to Buffalo Creek Baptist Church c/o the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
