(From Parker Mortuary)Maria Belen Santillan, 87, of Joplin, Missouri, departed this life on Sunday evening, November 13, 2021, in the comfort of her home.
Maria entered this life on January 26, 1934, in Mexico, daughter of Jose Segura and Juana Beltran. Maria has resided in Joplin, Missouri, since 2010. She was a devoted homemaker throughout her life. Maria was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Webb City.
Maria is survived by her nine children, daughter, Juana Rodriguez, of Chicago, IL, son, Roberto Santillan of Carthage, MO, daughter, Susana Garcia and husband Mario of Oklahoma City, OK, son, Pedro Santillan and wife Luisa of Tulsa, OK, daughter, Maria Martinez and husband Jorge of Joplin, son, Luis Santillan and wife Mildred of Joplin, son, Ismael Santillan and wife Anastasia of Joplin, son, Hilario Santillan and wife Petra of Joplin, daughter, Belem Santillan and husband Abelardo Galaviz of Joplin; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Julia Segura Urvina of Oklahoma City and Calletann Segura of Mexico; a brother, Roman Segura of Mexico; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral mass will be held on Friday morning, November 19, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Webb City with Father Paco Gordillo officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Joplin. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 4-7:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary in Joplin, Missouri.
