Alyce Roberta Simmons, 87 years, of Diamond, Missouri, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016, at her residence.
She was born on March 24, 1929 in Lamoni, Iowa to the late James Orval and Stella Arlene (Pyle) Cantrell. She enjoyed crafting, cooking and bird watching. Alyce owned and operated Waggin-Tail Pet Shop in Phoenix, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Ned Allison, Paul Thomas Calvert and Lee Simmons; a brother, Kenneth Cantrell; four sisters, Lois Daily, Lyla Richardson, Isabelle Snow and Pat Cantrell.
Alyce is survived by her daughter, Barbara Turner and husband, Clinton of Goodman, Missouri; granddaughter, Holly DeGonia and husband, Justin of Diamond, Missouri; great granddaughter, Annabelle DeGonia; a sister, Beverly Bunce and husband, Don of Colorado Springs, Colorado; a very close nephew, Eddie Eaton of Granby, Missouri; many other nieces and nephews; along with a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss Alyce.
A private family burial will be held at a later date in the Peace Valley Cemetery in Anderson, Missouri.
