Robbie Jewell Southard was 81 years old when she passed away around 9:00 pm, Saturday, September 24, 2016 at St. Luke’s Nursing Home, Carthage, Missouri. She was born August 7, 1935 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas to Leland Fidler and May E. Fidler. She was married to Wayne Southard on May 18, 1955 in Duenweg, Missouri.
Robbie was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in March of 1970. She attended the East Joplin Congregation. She was very active and faithful to her God Jehovah till the end of her life.
Robbie is survived by three sisters, Roberta “Jody” DeBord, Sybil Jones, Lillie Irwin and one brother Ivan Fiddler.
Robbie was proceeded in death by her sister Corrine “Cappie” Smith and brothers Donny Fidler and Lonnie Fidler, her parents and her husband Wayne.
Surviving children include Ronald and Bette Southard of Diamond, Missouri, Scott and Judy Southard of Joplin, Missouri, and Richard and Tina Southard of Diamond, Missouri.
Her grandchildren include Zachary and wife, Lacie Southard of Lexington, South Carolina, Jason Southard of Diamond, Missouri, Ethan Southard of Queensbury, New York, Shalanna and husband Ben Ducote, Tesa and husband Cole Anderson, all of Diamond, Missouri. Her great grandchildren include Jaidyn, Benton and Anilai.
She has many nieces and nephews still living, as well as many friends that will greatly miss her warm smile and the twinkle in her eye.
Memorial services will be held 4:00 pm, Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Joplin East Kingdom Hall, 2500 South County Lane 203, Joplin, Missouri under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.
