Terrie Marie Stim, age 84, of Edwardsville, Illinois, formerly of Joplin, Missouri, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016, following a decline in health.
She was born November 8, 1931, in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, to Michael and Matilda (Jagodinski) Lipski.
Terrie married Alex “Al” Stim on November 24, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois, and he preceded her in death on February 7, 2004. They co-owned and operated the 18th Street Bar in Joplin, Missouri for 35 years. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and driving to see the countryside. She attended St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Joplin. Terrie moved to Edwardsville, Illinois in 2013.
She is survived by five children, Mark Stim and wife, Kathy, of Louisville, Kentucky, Joel Stim of Joplin, Missouri, Tami Roderick and husband, David, of Collinsville, Illinois, Shelly Lawrence and husband, Scott, of Kansas City, Missouri, and Kristin Davison of Columbia, Missouri; and five grandchildren, Brad, Zack, Christian and Tori Roderick and Drew Davison.
Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Osborne Memorial Cemetery in Joplin with Father J. Friedel officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday in the chapel of Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary.
The family would like to thank the Rosewood Nursing Center for the care provided to Terrie.
