Jimmie Williamson

Jimmie Doil Williamson, 74, of Sarcoxie, Missouri departed this life early Tuesday morning, September 6, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Jimmy entered this life on April 22, 1942 in Jasper County, Missouri to the union of the late Allie Malone and Ruth Maxine (Denison) Williamson. Jimmie was a lifelong resident of Sarcoxie, Missouri. On December 13, 1958 he was united in marriage to Beverley Jean Lee, together they shared fifty-seven years. Jimmie retired in 2004 from Carthage Marble. He also worked many years in the construction industry, building homes and swimming pools. Jimmie was a man of many talents, and took great pride in his work. His favorite hobby was working. He also loved spending time with his family and friends. After his retirement, his buddies would ask him to go fishing, he declined, saying I’m spending time with my wife. Jimmie built a second seat for his tractor so Beverly could ride with him.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Beverly of the home; four children, James Dee Williamson of Avilla, Missouri, Vanessa Jean Reid and husband Wesley of Jasper, Missouri, Brian Lee Williamson and Doil Anne Strahl, both of Sarcoxie, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Jamie Dawn Conness, James D. Williamson, II., Nerissa Jean Burlingame, William Reid, Jordan Williamson, John Doil Williamson, Larissa Nicole Hayes and Gabrielle Elizabeth Strahl; one sister, Donna Osborne and husband Jack of Neosho, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.



Graveside funeral services are 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2016 at the Avilla Cemetery, Avilla, Missouri. Timothy Shields will close the service with a prayer.
