Kathryn Harrison, age 99 of Joplin, Mo passed away Monday September 26, 2016 at the Joplin, Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on September 16, 1917 in Stella, Mo the daughter of Lee and Nancy “Edmondson” Love. She was a 1935 graduate of Stella High School Stella, Mo. She married Burl Harrison on December 24, 1939 in Neosho, Mo, he preceded her in death in November of 1996. She was a member of the Forest Park Baptist Church and enjoyed working at WMU Clothing House.
She is also preceded in death by her parents and eight brothers and sisters. Survivors include two sons: John Harrison and wife Sandy of Carl Junction, Mo and Tom Harrison and wife Sheri of Joplin, Mo, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday September 29, 2016 at the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor John Swadley officiating. There is no formal visitation, Kathryn will lie in state at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary from Wednesday afternoon until service time. The family suggests contributions to the WMU Clothing House in care of the Mortuary.
