Devin Maverick Adamson, age 18, of Monett, MO, passed away on September 5, 2016 following a sudden illness.
Devin was born on June 6, 1998 in Joplin, MO, son of Donald Daryle Adamson, Jr. and Rhonda Kay (Stricklin) Adamson.
Devin graduated with honors from Monett High School with the class of 2016. He was active with the Speech and Debate Team and the Choir. He had just begun his college classes at MSSU where he was studying Mass Media to become a Producer. He also had recently started working at Vintage Stock in Joplin as a Salesman. Growing up, Devin enjoyed anime` movies, comic books, playing video games with his friends and playing the guitar. He had a great love for his family, friends and his Lord. Devin was baptized at a young age at New Site Baptist Church.
Devin had a wonderful sense of humor and could always put a smile on your face. He had a gift of gab and quick wit.
Devin is survived by his parents, Donald and Rhonda Adamson, of Monett; his sister, Brittany Adamson, of Monett; his maternal grandparents, Ronnie and Debbie Stricklin, of Cassville, MO; his paternal grandmother, Mary Lowe and her husband Kirk, of Monett; and a host of extended family and friends who will dearly miss him, especially his best friends, Zane Rosenbalm and Shelby Peters.
Devin was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donald Adamson, Sr.
Memorial services for Devin will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the Buchanan Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Rocky Harris officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until service time. In memory of Devin, in lieu of flowers a memorial contribution can be made to the Monett High School in care of the funeral home.
