Ann Louise “Annie” Edwards, 81, of Sarcoxie, left her earthly home on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, and stepped into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Annie was born on April 17, 1935 in Sarcoxie, Missouri, to the union of the late Horace and Opal (Clark) Stotts. She was a 1953 graduate of Sarcoxie High School. On May 11, 1952, Annie married her loving husband, Delmar Edwards, at Sarcoxie Christian Church and to this union two sons were born. She worked for Juvenile Shoe for 19 years while raising her children. Annie was a member of Freedom Christian Fellowship, which was previously Sarcoxie Christian Church. She was the longest standing member with a membership of 69 years. Annie had a strong will to live and an unwavering faith in God. Throughout her life, Annie maintained a sweet and simple soft-spoken demeanor that won the love and hearts of many. She greatly enjoyed being involved in church activities and singing.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four siblings, Carl Stotts, Robert “Bob” Stotts, Carol Henson and Dorothy Kay Sawyer; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Clark Henson and Betty Stotts.

For the past ten years, Annie was lovingly cared for by her husband of 64 years, Delmar Edwards, and he survives. Additional survivors include her two sons, Kerry Edwards of Sarcoxie, Missouri, and Rodney Edwards and wife, Terri, of Joplin, Missouri; five grandchildren, Regina Schmitz and husband, Timothy, Brian Douglas, Branda Edwards, Rodney Edwards, Jr., and wife, Kristy, and Sawyer Edwards and wife, Cailian; ten great-grandchildren, Jon, Ava, Noel, Skyla, Rodney (III), Preston, Macy, Kyler, Alden and Aaron; four nieces, Mary Pat, Carla Hughes, Kim Bass and Lori Gross; three nephews, Rick Stotts, Mark Henson and Trenton Haizlip; as well as many great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Edwards are 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 19, 2016 at Freedom Christian Fellowship Church in Sarcoxie with Pastor Don Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow at Center Cemetery, West of Sarcoxie. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, at the funeral home. Those honoring Annie’s life by serving as pallbearers are Rodney Edwards, Rodney Edwards, Jr., Kerry Edwards, Sawyer Edwards, John Hughes and Mark Henson. Honorary pallbearers are Trenton Haizlip, Ronald Kralicek, Ricky House, Clyde Lee Daniels, Rodney Edwards, III, Jon Bunner, Kyler Edwards, Preston Edwards, Alden Edwards and Aaron Edwards.

Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home, Sarcoxie, Missouri.
