Richard Stanfield

Richard D. Stanfield, the son of Harry and Bertha Stanfield, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016 at the Seneca House in Seneca, MO at the age of 86. 

Richard was born July 10, 1930 in Kansas City, MO. He lived his entire adult life in Joplin. Richard was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, float and fish on local and Ozark streams while also making several trips to Canada and above the Arctic Circle. Well known for the food his garden produced, his friends and neighbors were often recipients of his fresh produce. Richard worked on the survey and right-of-way crew for MoDOT. In his spare time, he also enjoyed quail hunting and training bird dogs while keeping a close eye on his duck pond. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and Quails Unlimited. 

Richard is survived by his cousins; Elizabeth Duff of Cape Coral, FL. and Ron Knost of Russellville, AR, his 2nd cousins; Don Knost and David Knost of Carthage, MO and Debbie Knost and a close friend, Clarence Winas of Joplin, MO.
