Brenda Lee Bible, age 55, of Stotts City, MO, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 17, 2016 while at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, KS, following a sudden illness.
Brenda was born on June 7, 1961 in Lima, OH, the daughter of the late Bobby Gene Bible and Helen (Best) Bible. Brenda graduated from Pierce City High School with the class of 1980. For over thirty years, she had worked for Tyson Foods as the Complex Safety Manager. Brenda was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, as well as a Christian woman who loved the Lord and her family. Brenda served the Lord faithfully at the Church of the Nazarene in Monett, where she was also a board member.
Brenda is survived by her son, Matthew Bible, of Stotts City, MO; two grandchildren, Caitlin and Jackson Bible, of Stotts City; her step-mother, Joyce Bible, of Stotts City; three brothers, Robert Bible, of Stotts City, Darrell Clouse and his wife Kathy, of Seneca, MO and Dale Clouse, of Kansas City, MO; three sisters, Vicky Morgan and her husband Jimmy, of Stotts City, Sherry Grey, of Stotts City and Connie Chapman and her husband David, of Waverly, KS; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Phyllis Bible; one nephew, Bobby Bible; and one brother-in-law, Bill Grey.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the Church of the Nazarene, Monett, with Pastor Michael Daughrity and Pastor Chris Carver officiating. Interment will be held in the Rocky Comfort Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the MDA in care of the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
