Jerry David Lane, 46 years, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
Jerry was born on July 24, 1970 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to David Lawrence and Patricia Ann (Satterlee) Lane. He lived most of his life in Joplin, Missouri. Jerry received his Bachelor's Degree from Missouri Southern University. He received his Master's Degree from John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He worked as a licensed professional counselor at the Ozark Center in Joplin, Missouri. Jerry enjoyed scuba diving, taking pictures and writing. Jerry was a member of the Christ's Church in Oronogo, Missouri. He really loved his family and children, especially his nieces and nephews. Jerry had a heart to help others.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Ann Wallain and a brother, John Michael Lane I.
Jerry is survived by his father, David Lawrence Lane and wife, Susan of Waco, Texas; a sister, Sharolyn Cook and fiancé, Jay Stallsmith of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and children, Savanah and Andrew two brothers, Patrick Wallain and wife, Kari of Vancouver, British Columbia and children, Osborn and Samuel, Matt Wallain and wife, Amy of Anderson, Missouri and children, Brooklyn, Carson and Landry; his maternal grandparents, Orville and Helen Bailey of Carl Junction, Missouri; nephew, John Lane II and wife, Hailey of Neosho, Missouri; stepfather, Gary Wallain and wife Carolyn of Anderson, Missouri; stepbrother, Lyn Wallain and wife, Elisha of Anderson, Missouri; stepsister, Shelly Harper of Joplin, Missouri; several aunts and uncles; along with a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss Jerry.
Funeral services for Jerry will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the New Life Church in Anderson, Missouri. Pastor Tom Ellis will officiate. Burial will follow in the Anderson Cemetery in Anderson, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark funeral homes. The family will receive friends at this time.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Christ's Church of Oronogo, Missouri in care of the funeral home in loving memory of Jerry.
