Margaret Beeler

Margaret Elizabeth (Bacon) Beeler, age 93, of Carl Junction, Mo., passed away at 1:30 am, September 11, 2016, at the Carl Junction Residential Care following an illness.

Mrs. Beeler was born January 8, 1923, to Harry Bacon and Sarah (Ulmer) Bacon who preceded her in death. She was raised near Anderson, Mo. on Buffalo Creek, and graduated from Carl Junction High School in 1940. She worked for Montgomery Ward from 1978 to 1999 when she retired.
She gave her heart to Jesus when she was 19 years old. She attended Second Assembly of God for many years, and other Pentecostal Churches in the area. She loved gospel music and singing gospel songs. 

She married James J. Beeler on April 25th 1942 at Mineral Wells, Tx. He preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her brother, William Bacon, and sister Ola May Daniel.
She is survived by six children, Kathern Talent and husband Bill, of Carl Junction, James W. Beeler and wife, Kay, of Joplin, Stephen R. Beeler and wife, Susan, of Baxter Springs, Ks, Mary M. Dorsey and husband, Steve, of rural Carthage, Grace A. Pierson and husband, Dale, of Dumas, Tx, and Kerry C. Beeler and wife, Anita, of Nixa, Mo. 

Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 5 step great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin, with Brian Crouch officiating, with grandsons and sons-in-law serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held at 6:30 to 7:30 pm Tuesday at the mortuary. The family would like to thanks Dr. Randy Bowles and his staff, Avalon Hospice, and a special thanks to staff at Carl Junction Residential Care for all the care they gave. Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Funeral Home & Crematory
