Ellen Louise Doherty, age 29, of Diamond, Missouri, passed away Thursday September 8, 2016 in her home.
She was born December 1, 1986 in Joplin, Missouri, the daughter of James and Molly Beth (Harshbarger) Doherty. She was preceded in death by her mother and one daughter, Mary Beth.
Surviving are her father, James Doherty and his wife Debbie of Springfield, Missouri; one son Chevy Cowles of the home; one daughter Madison Cowles of the home; a brother, James Doherty and his wife Salley of Ozark, Missouri; a sister, Hollie Carson of Joplin, Missouri; one nephew, James Douglas Doherty and a niece, Hannah Carson.
Ellen received her education in Wheaton where she graduated from high school. She was a certified nurse assistant at Carthage Health and Rehabilitation Center and was in the process of starting her degree in nursing. She was a huge St. Louis Blues Hockey fan and St. Louis Cardinals fan. Her children were her greatest joy in life.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 13, 2016 in Wheaton at the United Methodist Church under direction of McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Reverend John Henry will conduct the services. Burial will be in Muncie Chapel Cemetery, Wheaton.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday in McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton.
Contributions may be made to the fund for her children.
