Herman L. Miner, 89 passed away September 4, 2016 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
Herman was born July 31, 1927 in Baxter Springs, Kansas to Harry and Berta Miner. Herman served in the United States Army and served in World War II. Herman has been in the Carthage, Joplin area for the past seven years moving here from Richland, MO. At age 16 he worked for Bilhans Mining in Baxter Springs and then started in the Evangelistic ministries in 1958 during this time he also worked in the mines for a total of 42 years. Herman was an Evangelist in the U.P.C. and the A.G. for 54 years.
Herman was united in marriage to Ada June “Doolen” who preceded him in death, he then married Janet “Hoff” December 20, 2009 in Wyandotte, Oklahoma she survives. Herman is survived by three daughters and four Sons, Harry L. Miner of Wyandotte, OK, Carrie A. Hall of Salem, MO, Kenneth W. Miner of Miami, OK, Gay C. Chaddock of Miami, OK, Carmen L. White of Salem, MO, Timothy R.Miner of Salem, MO, and Mark L. Miner of Laquey, MO. Three sisters Hazel Rupe of Grove, OK, Marjorie Allen of Kansas City, MO and Linda Grube of Miami, OK. Numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday September 7, 2016 at Ulmer Funeral Home, Carthage, MO. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service at Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery with Military Honors.
