Beatrice May Provins Jay Neal, age 90, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016.
Beatrice was born November 22, 1925 in Diamond, Missouri to the late Charles A. Provins and Fanny Florence Baston Provins and lived in the Joplin area until moving to Tennessee in 2003.
A homemaker, she had worked for 33 years as office manager at the former Meeker Leather Company in Joplin. Beatrice was a faithful member of the Church of Christ.
She married Wilbur Jay on May 30, 1947 in Joplin. He preceded her in death on October 22, 1972. She then married Raymond Neal on February 17, 1984. He preceded her in death on February 25, 1996.
Beatrice was also preceded in death by siblings, Bernece Hobson, Burl Provins, Charles Provins, Kenneth Provins, Mary Fritchey, Delbert Provins, Herald Provins, and Kate Royer.
Survivors include a son, Dennis Jay and his wife, Karen, Arlington, Tennessee; a stepson, Robert Neal and his wife Colleen, Joplin; four grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services are planned for Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at Osborne Memorial Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Beatrice Neal.
