Mr. Terry Martin Neece, 83, of Goodman, Missouri, departed this life on Monday evening, September 26, 2016, at his residence after brief decline in health.
Terry entered this life on January 2, 1933, in rural McDonald County Missouri, near the community of Powell, the only child born to the late Lloyd and Geneva (Abercrombie) Neece. He graduated from Pineville High School in the class of 1950. After high school he completed a two year welding program in Yakima, Washington. On June 28, 1952, in Yakima, he was united in marriage to Viola Stanley and to this union two sons were born. In 1956 he began his career with Rocketdyne in Neosho as a welder, retiring in 1971, as an inspector. Terry was also a cattleman throughout his life. He was an avid game player, especially dominoes and checkers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of fifty-five years, Viola Neece on May 20, 2008; and a son, Stephen Neece.
Terry is survived by one son, Nick Neece and wife, Becky, of Neosho, Missouri; three grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Neece are 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2016, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastor Dennis Bergen officiating. Burial will follow in the Mayfield Cemetery near Goodman. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Nick Neece, Chad Neece, Austin VanDorn, Eddy Lauderdale, Kim Emery, Darrel Epperson, and Wes Endicott. Kyle VanDorn will serve as an honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends on Friday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Memorials are being directed to the Mayfield Cemetery Care Fund and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
