Kathy Holcomb

Mrs. Katherine Estelle “Kathy” Holcomb, 72, of Southwest City, Missouri, departed this life on Wednesday afternoon, August 31, 2016, at the Golden Living Center in Anderson, Missouri, after months of declining health.

Kathy entered this life on October 29, 1943, in Denver, Colorado, one of four children born to the union of the late Harry and Willie Marie (Hopkins) Jayne. She was raised and attended school in the Denver, Colorado area. She moved to Noel, Missouri, in 1976, and for over twenty-five years she was employed by Hudson/Tyson Foods, retiring in 2000. In 1985, she moved to Southwest City, Missouri, and on January 27, 1996, she was united in marriage to Charles R. Holcomb. She enjoyed working puzzles, watching TV, spending time on her computer and was a talented artist. When her health allowed she attended Worship services at Cave Springs Church located near Grove, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents; twin infant daughters, Robin and Sheila Good; and two siblings, Carol Black and Bill Jayne.

Kathy is survived by her husband of twenty years, Charles Holcomb of the home; four children, Dale Good and wife, Glenda, of Southwest City, Missouri, Robert Good and wife, Tina, of Seneca, Missouri, Cindy Smith and husband, Randy, of Stella, Missouri and Cheryl Smith and husband, Wayne, of Anderson, Missouri; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; a sister, Norma Lawton of the state of West Virginia; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends. 

Memorial services for Kathy will be held on Wednesday evening, September 7, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Southwest City Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Bro. Frank Crosby officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. On-line condolences may be sent to the family through our website, www.ozarkfuneralhome.com.
