(From Parker Mortuary) Betty F. Dye Hayes, age 93, Harrisonville, Missouri, formerly of Joplin, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Crown Care Center in Harrisonville.
Betty was born April 18, 1928 in Joplin, daughter of the late Ralph Truman Dye and Lela (Cronin) Dye. She graduated from Joplin High School, and spent her life devoted to her husband, son, and granddaughter. She was a faithful member of First Gospel Workers Church.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, George Hayes; two brothers, Ronald Dye and Bob “Cotton” Dye.
Survivors include her son, Don Hayes and wife Kathy of Harrisonville; granddaughter, Meckenzie Hayes of Columbia, Missouri; four nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be Friday, October 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Bob Simon officiating.
Family requests that memorial contributions be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
